Free Armenian Fonts
Several years ago I've designed and released 20 High Quality Armenian Fonts under the Meteor tradename. Fonts were released and sold both in True Type and PS1 formats. Later I forgot about them but started to notice that the derivatives of my work became available on the Internet. Someone simply recompiled the files to remove my name and font tags and put them up on several download sites. I could have been "proud" that my work went into "free fall" and is popular enough for others to try and "pirate" it if not one important point. Whoever did it, has no idea how to handle fonts correctly and simply removed all the kerning information. Meanwhile kerning was probably one of the most time-consuming and precision-bound work I did when designing them, I didn't want my work to look ugly and amateurish after the unprofessional fiddling, therefore decided to put the originals on this website. I am including only TTF versions but all with proper kerning so you can get rid of low-quality copies. Fonts are in transliterated format (not Unicode) as it was always easier to use this type of keyboard layout in DTP systems or while preparing and printing documents. If interested in fine-tuned PS1 versions for professional typesetting on Apple Macs then please contact me for the licensing. The fonts are free for you to enjoy but if you find them useful and want to show your appreciation in monetary form then you are always welcome to send as much as you think is suitable for you to this e-mail address via PayPal. This contribution is completely voluntary is it's up to you to decide if you want to make it.
